Texas Gov’t Code Ann. §406.024 sets out the maximum fees a Notary Public may charge for notary public services.

Kiki’s Mobile Notary Service charges the following fees:

Mobile Fees – Traveling Fees Apply

Travel fees are not specified in the law.  Such fees are proper only if the notary and signer(s) agree beforehand on the amount to be charged.  The signer must understand that a travel fee is neither required nor specified in the law and is separate from the notarial fees described herein.  Travel fees range from $35.00 and up depending on time of day and distance traveled.  Travel fees will always be discussed prior to departure for your requested service.

Additional Mobile Fee Information:
Though not specifically mentioning notaries as state officers in the statute, Texas law requires ‘state officers’ to bill clients for all expenses. Therefore we will always prepare a detailed bill for any services we perform as a notary public. We will discuss our fees with you our signer before performing the notarial act to avoid confusion or conflict afterward.  We will always provide a written receipt for fees charged, completely separating any non-notary business fees such as travel expenses from the actual notary fees charged.

Due and Payable Upon Receipt:

ALL fees are due and payable on completion of services rendered at which time an invoice – receipt will be issued.  Escrow or loan cancellations have no bearing on the payment of fees.  We accept only Cash, MasterCard and Visa.  Payment arrangements must be made in advance of services at time of scheduling.

All services are provided by appointment only with two (2) hour advanced notice.  At times immediate request for services may be accommodated within minutes depending upon staffing, location, construction, traffic and weather.  Services requested within the two (2) hour advanced notice are considered “rush” services and a “rush” service fee will apply.

All services are based upon the time of when the services are rendered and NOT when a request for service is made.  For example if you call at 10:00 a.m. for service at 4:30 p.m. then the after 4:00 p.m. rates will apply.

(First 15 minutes is included in the initial fee $65.00 then each additional fifteen minute period is $32.50, invoiced in fifteen minute increments [0-15, 15-30, 30-45, 45-60) Example: Initial fee $65.00 then two (2) additional fifteen minute periods equals: (2x15min increments @ $32.50 = $65.00 + $65.00 = $130.00 total)
